Windows 11 Made My PC Slower - There is one of my laptops that some time ago I tried to install windows 11, at first it was normal. But after a hard reboot, which is shutdown and left for a while, it suddenly becomes very slow. Until finally I reinstalled with Windows 10 LTSC which is more "lighter". It's a potato laptop though. The main specs are Intel Celeron 3050 CPU (max. 2.16 GHz), only 4 GB RAM, 64 GB SSD.

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is indeed lightweight, but because it is intended as an office computer, for which a bulk license must be purchased at least 5, it is not suitable for personal laptops. Plus, because the trial version can't work, every 1 hour of idle, it immediately shuts itself down. This version can be lightweight because it does not include the windows store and its applications. So you could say windows are empty, really empty, there's only the Edge browser application. Plus I chose the N version which does not include multimedia features.

Finally, I installed the Windows 11 Home N version again, hoping that it would be a little lighter. This time I remember the debloater app made by Chris Titus, you can google it yourself. From the options provided, I select laptop mode, and do a standard debloat. Then add the installation of lightweight essential programs, such as 7-zip and Sumatra PDF. The feature that needs to be disabled is windows updates. The debloater app pauses non-critical updates such as adding new features and only allows them to be installed if they have been tested, waiting for at least a year.

Windows 11 Made My PC Slower - After that, I also disabled animations and all cosmetics that only burden Windows performance. The result is a system that is quite responsive and sufficient for light work such as typing and just browsing the web.
